The first project...

Hello you gang of pencilsmiths, and we have a few more people added to our numbers - today we hold our pencils in the air for the fallen, but we also remember that pencils have the power to change the world. I have been asked to suggest a few rules or guides for our member's first foray into drawing with our pencils:

1) Use a pencil to be creative but not rude

2) The creative co-operative is to provide a platform on many social media channels to promote ourselves and our work

3) Four legs good, two legs bad

4) You will be asked to help with the

5) Our first project within the blog is to create a narrative, one panel per person, based around keyword Blackwing using the concept of the surrealist Exquisite Corpse

5) Email a photograph of your work to takingaline@hotmail.com

6) Um...any questions

7) I have been kindly asked to start, then Bartosz, then I guess he will pass it on to the next one.

8) I will add the pictures to the blog and don't leave anyone out.

9) I refer you to point 6.

Our Chosen Instrument - #2 - Bartosz Jekiel

Another package has been received by another of co-operative creative - Bartosz Jekiel. This pencilsmith is also a co-founder of TresLettres. He and his co-founders, Jakub Chweieszczenik and Tomasz Wieja, released a book with three reimagined stories that haunt and stay with you. They worked with Kickstarter to aid the funding for the production and the publication of the book, it is still available through their website and Amazon


Bartosz is now working on illustrations based around the film Institute Benjamenta, the first feature length film by the Quay Brothers, have a look at his Facebook page.
